Brennan Johnson has now shared what Ange Postecoglou told his Tottenham Hotspur players during halftime tonight.
Spurs began the game in an unusually poor manner, giving Brentford far too many chances despite their possession of the ball.
Neal Maupay was definitely succeeding in his efforts to annoy Tottenham players, particularly James Maddison.
And it just felt like Spurs‘ tactics had slipped slightly, deviating from the game plan.
However, as the second half began, Tottenham returned to their typical form, with Timo Werner prompting an unbelievable flurry of goals.
Brennan Johnson scored the Spurs’ second after only being inserted at halftime.
After the game, Johnson informed TNT Sports what Postecoglou had told his Tottenham teammates at halftime.
The home team was 1-0 down to Maupay‘s goal, but they certainly believed in a comeback.

Johnson first discussed the first half before recalling his manager’s calming comments.
He stated: “It was a strange game. I think we predicted what was going to happen in terms of them attempting to generate set pieces and playing a tough game, and I believe we fell for it in the first half.
“We were getting riled up by some of their players and I think in the second half, we just had to take a deep breath and play our football.”
Guy Mowbray then inquired about what occurred at half-time.
Johnson responded, “It was just one of those games, the manager said before, once we score one, we’ll score two, then three.”
“And as soon as we scored that first goal so early I just felt like we had to keep the momentum going.”
Of course, Postecoglou will cherish the victory, even if Johnson and his Tottenham teammates endured a tense finale.
There were obviously moments of frustration; Postecoglou was upset with Dejan Kulusevsi at one point, but three points were scored.
Spurs fans may now wait to see what the deadline delivers tomorrow.
