If Brighton and Hove Albion are to sign FC Copenhagen starlet Roony Bardghji, they may have to break their club transfer record.
The Seagulls have been linked with an audacious move for Bardghi, 18, who recently burst onto the European scene with a dramatic 4-3 Champions League win over Manchester United.
The highly-rated Swede, who is expected to be one of the big movers next summer, is wanted by a number of top clubs, including Roberto De Zerbi‘s Brighton.
However, according to Football Insider, if the Seagulls are to outbid the competition for the talented teenager, they will have to pay at least £30 million.
And such a fee would be a club record, with Joao Pedro‘s move from Watford, reported to be worth around £29 million (TM), being the club’s most expensive signing last summer.
Bardghi, who turned 18 on Wednesday, has contributed to 16 goals in 66 games in all competitions since being promoted to FC Copenhagen’s first team 18 months ago.
