Chelsea have started watching closely a technically good player but Brighton are favourites to sign him because he is good.

Chelsea have started looking at Boca Juniors star Valentin Barco, according to 90min. Barco is a good player, he is just 19 years old and he is an Argentine professional footballer who plays left back for Boca Juniors. 90mins claims that Valentin Barco is attracting a lot of interest in Europe according to his performance for Boca Juniors. In 2023 season, he has made 11 appearances and has scored one goal.

It is understood that Brighton are in a good position and favorites to sign the teenage defender but Boca Juniors are hoping they can get the player to sign a new contract. Currently, the Argentine left back player has a release clause with around 8 million Euros, with the current deal expiring in December 2024.

90mins also added that there is an entire host of European side closely watching Barco including Newcastle united, Wolves, Brentford and Nottingham Forest.
