Brighton striker opens up about the possibility of joining Stuttgart.

After an impressive start at the German club, Deniz Undav says he is “not averse” to joining Stuttgart on a permanent basis.

The 27-year-old joined the Bundesliga club on a season-long loan from Albion in the summer after head coach Roberto De Zerbi “regrettably” allowed him to leave.

The striker has six goals in nine appearances for VFB and is having a great time working with head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.

Undav, whose contract at the Amex expires in 2026, has been approached about leaving Brighton for Stuttgart when his loan spell ends next summer.

“I’m under contract with Brighton.” As of now, he plans to return to Brighton in the summer, according to Sky Deutschland. “However, the season is still long.” The emphasis is on VfB. I want to achieve as much success as possible. VfB is a fantastic club. I’m delighted to be here. The fans are fantastic. I fit in well, and the team was welcoming. I’m not opposed to it at all.”

Undav, who joined the Seagulls from Union SG in January 2022 before spending the rest of the season on loan at the Belgian club, struggled at Albion at first but went on to score eight goals in all competitions last season.

The forward would have been in the attacking pecking order behind Evan Ferguson, Danny Welbeck, and summer signing Joao Pedro, which is why he joined Stuttgart. In addition, the German club is said to have an option to buy Undav at the end of his loan deal.
