According to Dominik Schneider, Leeds United now have new competition in the quest to recruit Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Edouard Michut after Bundesliga teams joined the hunt.
The Football Transfers Germany journalist writes on his personal Twitter account (9 August) that Augsburg and Hoffenheim have both inquired about the French kid.
Leeds is also said to be interested in the player, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland, but no official offers have been made as PSG awaits a decision on his future.
“Two Bundesliga clubs are interested in PSG‘s Edouard Michut,” he said.
“Hoffenheim and Augsburg have inquired about loan or transfer possibilities.”
“Leeds United is still in the hunt.” “There is no concrete offer yet; we are waiting for PSG.”

If Leeds want to complete this transaction, they must be the ones to make the initial step by making a concrete offer to PSG.
Michut shown last season that he could handle the level of physicality in the Championship by shining for Sunderland on their way to the playoffs.
His future at PSG is all but determined after he was left in Paris rather than travelling on the pre-season tour of Asia, and it appears that they are simply waiting for the perfect offer.
He is familiar with the league and the country, and under Farke and alongside Ethan Ampadu, he may be a good choice to improve our midfield.
Bundesliga competition will be difficult to fight against, but we’re in a solid financial position, which will help with any offers, and he’ll get regular minutes here as well. We have a chance, but we need to act soon.
