Callum Wilson blasts Guglielmo Vicario for his ‘lack of respect’ following Tottenham’s win over Newcastle.

Despite openly mocking Tottenham Hotspurs forward Richarlison on a podcast before the game, the Newcastle United striker was not pleased with Guglielmo Vicario’s antics after the game.

Following Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-1 win over Newcastle United, Callum Wilson called Guglielmo Vicario “disrespectful.”

The pair came together after the Spurs’ dramatic victory, which stopped a five-game losing streak, was confirmed. Tottenham not only returned to winning ways, but also avenged the Magpies’ league double last season.

Wilson made his comeback from a hamstring injury against the Spurs, coming off the bench for the final 25 minutes with the score at 3-0. After Joelinton‘s 91st-minute strike, he had a late chance to get another consolation goal back for Newcastle.

Tottenham had the game won before the Toon number nine came on, so his efforts were ultimately futile. Wilson, on the other hand, would confront Vicario once the outcome was known.

Both sets of players were shown on camera coming together as euphoric Tottenham fans celebrated their club’s first win in five games. The win rekindles Ange Postecoglou‘s Champions League campaign, with Spurs currently three points outside the top four.

While speaking to reporters after the game, Newcastle striker Wilson criticised Vicario. “There is a way to win,” he remarked. The goalkeeper was making expressions. There seemed to be a lack of respect. We’re mature men, and we go on.”
