Spurs failure was supposed to be the next Dele Alli, and now he’s unemployed.

Ange Postecoglou is building a team of obvious quality at Tottenham Hotspur, but the Australian will need more time to correct the problems that have plagued the group in recent years. While the senior recruitment is promising, the outstanding progress made at the youth level should not be overlooked, with Wayne Burnett’s development squad leading the Premier League 2 and undefeated after 12  games. The youth level has grown by leaps and bounds, and while Spurs have had some fantastic success with individuals starting out at the club in recent years, the machine-like structure now suggests at continued efficacy of output. Some kids have risen to prominence, but far too many have faded into obscurity, with Josh Onomah being one of the more recent disappointments. Josh Onomah’s Spurs Career Onomah, an offensive midfielder, made his Premier League debut at the age of 18 under Mauricio Pochettino, coming on as a substitute in a 3-1 win over Aston Villa in November 2015. He possessed the makings of a true star: an inherent ability to handle space in enclosed situations, a keen eye for opportunities, and technical proficiency. However, after only 32 appearances and one goal for Tottenham, Onomah was transferred to Fulham in 2019 as part of a £25 million transaction that also saw talented wideman Ryan Sessegnon leave. While his Spurs career had ended before it got started, there was still plenty of time for success, having flourished on loan with Villa in the Championship during the 2017/18 campaign, posting four goals and three assists across 20 starts, completing 80% of his passes and 62% of his dribbles, according to Sofascore. Onomah even compared his playing to that of Dele Alli, indicating in 2016 that he was modeling his game after the erstwhile prodigy’s skill set, saying: “They’ve all been helpful to me, and I’m learning bits and bytes from everyone really. Dele Alli is also performing quite well. “He’s only a year older than me, and look what he’s accomplished.I am learning from him as well.” Alli was regarded as one of football’s most intriguing talents after joining Spurs from MK Dons for about £5 million in 2015, scoring 66 direct goals in his first three Premier League seasons. Tottenham Hotspur may contemplate resigning Southampton right-back Kyle Walker-Peters during the upcoming summer  transfer window. His contract with the North London club apparently includes a buyback clause. Walker-Peters joined Southampton from Tottenham for £12 million in 2020, following a loan spell with the Saints. Since then, the 26-year old has established himself as a key player for Southampton, with impressive performances in both the Premier League and  the Championship this season. According to David Ornstein’s story in The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have included a £30 million buy-back clause in Walker-Peters’ contract. Additionally, both Arsenal and Manchester United have expressed interest in the Southampton defender. Walker-Peters has had a remarkable season with Southampton under Russell Martin, signaling that he wants to  continue playing in the Premier League, either with Southampton or elsewhere. Walker-Peters has improved significantly since joining St Mary’s, potentially exceeding Spurs’ early expectations. This development may inspire Spurs to consider re-signing him. Lee Kang-in, a footballer, has issued a personal apology to his  teammate and Korea’s national team captain, Son  Heung-min. “I did something I should never have done,” Lee admitted in a contrite apology. Lee, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, also issued a written apology on his Instagram account on Wednesday. “I have severely disappointed the entire team, particularly Heung-min, and football fans. “I met with Heung-min to sincerely apologize,” he added. Lee and Son, two Korean football icons, have been at odds over the Korean national team, who lost 0-2 to Jordan in  the AFC Asian Cup semifinals on February 7. The two got into a fight, with some sources alleging Lee swung at Tottenham’s Son, under circumstances that have yet to be definitively explained. Lee’s spokeswoman disputed accusations that he struck the team captain. “My irresponsible and thoughtless behavior during the Asian Cup has disappointed many people. I felt it was vital for me to apologize to Heung-min in person. We had a lengthy chat, which made me think on myself and comprehend the responsibility he holds as team captain. Spurs are looking for Ezequiel Fernandez, a solid defensive midfield option. Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in Ezequiel Fernandez, according to Boca Noticias. The Lilywhites  intend to strengthen their midfield unit in the forthcoming transfer window. Ange Postecoglou attempted it in January but failed to complete it. After signing Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin, the Australian manager focuses on his midfield. Ezequiel Fernandez’s ability and age appeal to the Spurs boss. Postecoglou is far more interested in young players than his predecessors. The former Celtic manager wants to include young players in his Tottenham plans. Tottenham Hotspur have an interest in signing Ezequiel Fernandez, an Argentine defensive midfielder from Boca Juniors. According to Fichajes, the 21-year-old South American midfielder is on their radar, and they are eager to do everything possible to bring him to the club. The North London club has done well in recent months in terms of signing excellent young players, and it appears that they are eager to expand their pool of youthful potential.
