In advance of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League matchup with Luton Town on Saturday, Chris Sutton has revealed his prediction.
Steve Cooper’s team is hoping to win for the first time since they beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on September 2.
Forest will need to overcome Rob Edwards’ team without several first-team players if they are to succeed.
Gonzalo Montiel, Felipe, Taiwo Awoniyi, Danilo, and Serge Aurier will all miss the encounter at the City Ground due to injuries, Cooper announced yesterday.
But Moussa Niakhate, who was suspended for one game against Crystal Palace, will be back in action.
Chris Sutton forecasts Forest or Luton to win.
The 50-year-old acknowledges that Luton will battle hard, but Forest will have too much skill in his column for BBC Sport.
“I enjoy the way Luton is playing this year. They deserve some credit since they are making a mess of it, and I don’t want to belittle them. The Hatters, who lost to Burnley late in the week, will likely feel that they should have won against 10-man Tottenham before the international break. Despite their defeats, though, they never give up and remain a threat. But I have a feeling that they’ll experience something similar here.”
“Once more, Luton will feel like they can pull something off, but Forest has a lot of match-winning players in their lineup and has excellent home form.”
Sutton projects a 2-1 result.
