Following favorable feedback from their scouting department on forward Emmanuel Dennis of Nottingham Forest, Trabzonspor may make a bid for him.
According to the Turkish publication Sports Digitale, Trabzonspor has listed the player as one of their prospective alternatives should space become available in the team’s foreign player quota.
Dennis, who was a fixture for Steve Cooper’s team throughout the season with 27 games, though just six in the starting 11 in the Premier League, joined Nottingham Forest last summer as part of their excessive expenditure.
After failing to play in the first few games of this season, he only managed one 18-minute appearance in the final six games and now seems to be out of the running.
He has been connected with leaving because of this, and a report from earlier today said that the Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Taee may be interested in signing him.
Turkey appears to be another choice, as Sports Digitale reports that Dennis has been added to their list of possibilities.
The club’s scouting squad ‘gave a favourable report’ on the Nottingham Forest forward to those higher up, they claim, proposing a transfer.
They were obviously taken aback and have since added him to their shortlist, indicating that they “would make a bid” for him if they can find space in the club’s foreign quota.”
If Dennis doesn’t relocate to Saudi Arabia before their deadline tomorrow, he still has options because the transfer window in Turkey doesn’t end until September 15th, giving them plenty of time to do so.
