Journalist Alan Nixon claims that clubs are now far from matching Leeds United’s asking price for defender Charlie Cresswell
After Leeds was relegated to the Championship and he had a great loan at Millwall the previous season, Cresswell had been hoped to be considered for regular game time at Elland Road.
Leeds coach Daniel Farke has preferred alternative options though and the Whites are prepared to sell Cresswell for in the region of £4m this month.
Blackburn Rovers is among the Championship teams that are interested in him, but they haven’t yet offered anything close to Cresswell‘s asking price.
Although it has been mentioned that Leeds would eventually accept a proposal less than £4 million, none of the offers have piqued their interest thus far.
-Advertisement- Cresswell is hoping that during the remaining transfer window, his suitors will show more interest. The defender, who is far down Farke‘s pecking order at Leeds, is eager to ensure that he is playing regularly.
The 21-year-old Cresswell was a member of Leeds’ junior team, and this was his first time playing away from Elland Road.
