Crysencio Summerville is unlikely to leave Leeds United this summer, giving the club an unexpected boost in their hopes of keeping him.
On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that interested teams had yet to reach Leeds’ asking price, despite widespread interest in his predicament.
According to Football Insider, West Ham are unwilling to pay more than £20 million for the winger, while Leeds are sticking with their £35 million asking price.
Meanwhile, Fulham are considering signing Summerville as a replacement for Willian, who has yet to sign a new contract at Craven Cottage after his current one expired in June. Summerville is expected to depart Elland Road before the transfer window shuts because to the level of interest, with clubs expected to eventually reach the asking price.
Leeds United gave Crysencio Summerville a lift following a fresh twist.
Summerville has piqued the curiosity of clubs throughout Europe this summer, with Liverpool, Chelsea, and PSG keeping an eye on his progress. However, no formal offers have been made, but Fulham, West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Brighton have all expressed interest in the winger.
Last season, the Dutchman won the Championship Player of the Season award after scoring 19 goals and assisting nine times in 43 league games. Leeds’ £35 million price tag follows the sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham for £40 million earlier this summer.
Despite attempts to reduce Summerville’s valuation, the club remains firm on their current asking price, hoping to spark a bidding war later in the window.
