The news that the Welshman “suffered a costal cartilage injury and an oblique abdominal muscle tear” was shared by the Whites on their official website.

Because of the damage, the club stated that he will be “unavailable for Friday’s (26 April) to QPR.” He might be sidelined for the rest of the season with just two games remaining.

Daniel Farke‘s team will suffer from James’ injury absence as Leeds could win promotion in these games.

Will Dan James be missed by Leeds United?

He has 13 goals and seven assists this season [FotMob] after returning from his loan at Fulham, helping the Whites push for promotion.

The fact that he accomplished this with only 28 starts and 12 replacement appearances makes it even more remarkable.

He is among the top attacking midfielders and wingers this season in terms of goals and assists, according to Fbref. In addition, he scores well, assisting Leeds in moving up the pitch with 4.34 progressive carries and 11.61 progressive passes received.

He has been somewhat eclipsed by fellow Leeds stars Summerville and Georginio Rutter’s success. Along with the Welshman, Wilfried Gnonto has also come and gone from the starting lineup.

His pace is intimidating for defenders late in a game, even if he isn’t starting, which can definitely cause issues.

There are more possibilities to consider, as Gnonto scored against Middlesbrough and Jaidon Anthony also entered the game.

James won’t be available for the championship games, but Farke shouldn’t lose hope.
