Daniel Levy, the CEO of Tottenham Hotspur, has replied to Bayern Munich’s latest proposal for Harry Kane.
Journalist David Ornstein wrote on the German giants’ third proposal on The Athletic.
Yesterday, Harry Kane demonstrated his world-class ability once more at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In their only home friendly of the summer, Ange Postecoglou’s side faced Shakhtar Donetsk. Kane bagged four goals as Spurs ran out 5-1 winners, before applauding the fans at full-time. The crowd made their feelings clear throughout the match that they want Kane to stay at the club.
Levy has now reacted to Bayern’s latest proposal for Kane and Tottenham supporters may get their dream.
The 30-year-old is a club icon, but with only a year left on his contract, he might be leaving North London.
However, it does not look that he will be departing Spurs anytime soon. Tottenham manager Daniel Levy has replied to the latest Kane proposal.
According to The Athletic, Spurs have turned down the latest offer from Bayern Munich for Kane. On Twitter, David Ornstein said, “Bayern Munich’s latest offer for Harry Kane has been rejected by Tottenham.” “After proposals were turned down in June and July, #FCBayern were £25 million short of #THFC valuation.”
“Talks last week resulted in an improved bid, but that has also been rejected.”
According to Ornstein’s report, Bayern Munich are still a long way from acquiring Harry Kane.
Although the attacker is eager to join the German champions, it is doubtful that they would pay the amount demanded by the club.
In the near term, Ange Postecoglou will no longer have to worry about replacing one of the Premier League’s finest players.
If Spurs struggle to start the season, Kane might sign a deal with a foreign team in January.
Losing a player of Kane’s calibre for nothing in a year would be disastrous.
Now that Levy has answered to the current proposal for Kane, he must focus on prolonging his stay at Tottenham.
It means Postecoglou will be fielding queries about the striker long after the transfer market has closed.
