Barcelona director Deco has updated the club on its plans for on-loan forward Ansu Fati.
Ansu, of course, sealed a surprise move away from Catalonia during the summer, joining Roberto De Zerbi‘s Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.
Since then, the Spanish international has had a solid start to life on England‘s south coast, notching four goals and an assist in 13 appearances.
With the majority of his minutes on the pitch coming in Europe, and Ansu struggling to carve out a starting spot in the league, questions remain about the 21-year-old’s ability to work his way back into the plans of the powers that be in Barcelona.
Speaking to the media, Blaugrana director Deco expressed optimism about Ansu’s future prospects in La Liga, confirming that there is ‘no doubt’ the 21-year-old could return to Camp Nou.
“Of course, Ansu can return. He’s young and content right now,” Deco told RAC1.
“He asked to go out on loan to get minutes and chose Brighton, and I think he did well.”
“We’re following him because Bojan, who is doing an excellent job, is keeping an eye on him.” I’m going to see him soon. The future is in his hands. There is no doubt that he can return to Barça.”
