A Swansea defender has revealed his thoughts on Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Leeds.
Swansea City defender Ben Cabango says his team was handed a hammer blow in Saturday’s match at Leeds United, but believes they completely deserved to comeback.

Cabango, a Wales international, returned to the heart of the Swans defence for the weekend’s Championship battle at Elland Road, where his team fell down only 35 seconds to a Brenden Aaronson strike.

Swansea, on the other hand, responded fiercely, and a Cabango header that hit the post before bouncing into the arms of goalie Illan Meslier was one of several first-half letdowns for Daniel Farke‘s Whites.
Swansea eventually levelled in the 64th minute when Meslier dropped a corner, allowing Harry Darling to convert, but Cabango acknowledges Willy Gnonto’s 86th-minute strike was a “big blow” for his team.
The Swans, however, struck back in the 96th minute with Zan Vipotnik, resulting in a 2-2 draw that Cabango believed his team deserved.
Cabango praised his team’s performance at Elland Road as extraordinary, telling the club’s website: “We showed so much courage, we had a rough start but we didn’t fall under.

“We generated a lot of chances, and we were unlucky with a number of them, but the way we held together after going behind twice was incredible from the players.
“We put our bodies on the line, we defended well, and we attacked effectively, I believe.
“Obviously, when they scored near the end, it was a huge blow, but we always believed we had a chance and kept our heads up. We continued going.
“We stuck together, gave our all to the finish, and we received our rewards.
“It’s a great result, but we still have plenty of work to do, we are looking to continue to improve.”
