Crysencio Summerville was not seen in the latest ‘Inside Training’ film from Leeds United.
On Thursday evening, Leeds uploaded some highlights from the week of training on YouTube, but Summerville was nowhere to be found in the 3:52 footage.
Summerville has not been reported injured, with Daniel Farke confirming in his news conference that there are no new fitness worries before of Saturday’s trip to Southampton.
Summerville was substituted in the 80th minute of last weekend’s 3-0 victory over Watford and appeared to be fine, despite being on the receiving end of many kicks from rival defenders.
Summerville‘s absence would be a significant loss for Leeds, as he has been electrifying in the last two games, and his pace could cause serious damage to a high Southampton backline.
Summerville is not in the Leeds training video.
Hopefully, this is nothing and Leeds were simply managing Summerville’s workload, which means he did not train on this specific day.
Summerville has had injury issues in the last season or two at Leeds, having already had a groyne strain that sidelined him for three weeks on the opening day.
He also missed time last season due to ankle issues, all of which occurred as a result of violent challenges, which he is no stranger to.
Farke has been open about injury updates during his tenure as Leeds manager, and there is no need for him to change his stance now.
As previously stated, Summerville should be OK because he will be a great boost to Leeds‘ chances of getting three points tomorrow.
