England defender will formally join Bavarians on a one-year contract in the summer.
Bayern Munich will sign Eric Dier on a permanent basis in the summer.
The Tottenham defender is presently on loan at the Bundesliga giants, having signed during the January transfer window before his contract in north London expires at the end of the season.
That option has already been exercised, and he will effectively sign as a free agent once his Spurs contract expires, with a contract until 2025.
Dier has appeared six times for Bayern in just over a month, more than he did for Tottenham in the Premier League for the first half of the season (four).
Munich has battled for consistency under Thomas Tuchel this season, resulting to his early departure at the end of the season, although they defeated RB Leipzig last weekend thanks to a late Harry Kane score.
Tuchel thinks that will generate impetus for Friday’s match against Freiburg before a Champions League duel with Lazio, who have a one-goal advantage in their last-16 encounter with Germany.
“It’s been a good week,” Tuchel said during his pregame press conference. “A win usually benefits everyone, especially a last-minute victory. It has given us confidence and a good overall vibe.
