Doctor issues surgery claim on Karl Darlow, a Leeds United goalkeeper

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rajpal Brar, an expert on injuries, as a new exclusive columnist. He will provide his opinions on Leeds United’s injury situation every week.

Karl Darlow, the goalie for Leeds United, might miss months of action if surgery is needed to realign his dislocated thumb, according to Dr. Rajpal Brar.

According to the injury expert, the results of an MRI test will indicate the severity of the damage, at which point the best course of action can be determined.
Daniel Farke declared that the summer signing will not be participating in training for the next seven weeks, citing best-case scenarios.

Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy specialist, said the following about Darlow in an exclusive interview with MOT Leeds News:

“The thumb will be given the necessary strength and mobility through this process.”Depending on how serious the injury is determined by the MRI, surgery may be necessary.

“In that scenario, he might have to miss months of rehab while the damaged tendon or ligament was repaired surgically.”
In the 2023 season finale versus West Brom, the 33-year-old took the field first and sustained an injury shortly after.
It appeared that Illan Meslier would be chosen first when he joined, but his performances made sure he stayed at the top.

However, Kristoffer Klaesson, the third-choice keeper, has filled in for the Frenchman in goal due to his suspension.

In other Leeds United news, a foreign player who has been linked to a move to Elland Road is reportedly dissatisfied at his present team and may be leaving in the January transfer window.
