Doctor says versatile Spurs player is ahead of plan for recovery and “may even return next week”

Injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar suggests that Tottenham Hotspur left-back Ryan Sessegnon may make an earlier than anticipated recovery from his hamstring injury.

According to the injury expert, Sessegnon might start training again before the year ends, which might pave the way for a return in early January.

Speaking with Tottenham News on the 23-year-old, he stated:

According to what I’ve read, a return in early January seems likely.

If so, he ought to be getting back to individual training after pitch work shortly. He may even make a comeback the following week, which suggests he is ahead of plan.

“He will keep increasing the intensity of his daily routine while putting a greater emphasis on activities unique to his sport.”

During summer training, Sessegnon sustained a hamstring injury that required a lengthy recuperation period.

But indications are that he will soon resume individual training and pitch work, which will be very encouraging for Ange.

A number of English clubs, including Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest, as well as overseas clubs, like Marseille and Benfica, expressed interest in signing Sessegnon during the summer transfer window.

However, any possible movements were halted by his surgical requirement, which was expected to keep him out until the conclusion of the transfer window.

But now, following Perisic‘s injury. The other left-back option Ange has as a backup to Destiny Udogie is Sessegnon.

Even once Sessegnon returns, Udogie, who has been a brilliant left-back for Spurs this season, will continue to start for Ange‘s starting lineup.

The Italian left-back has been a reliable member of Tottenham’s starting lineup, helping the team win two league games and score one goal.
