Egyptian legend leaks Mo Salah’s ‘agreement’ as Liverpool intentions emerge.

Mo Salah’s move to the Saudi Pro League has been signed and confirmed, according to former Egypt attacker Mido.

Former Premier League and Egypt striker Mido says Mohamed Salah has decided to play in the Saudi Pro League next season. The winger was widely linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer, with rumours claiming that Al-Ittifaq had offered him a contract for more than £150 million.
Mido posted on X that the agreement had already been finalised. He stated: “Mohamed Salah will play in the Saudi League next season. “The contracts have been signed.”

Salah has been out of action for much of the year, having suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Egypt in the African  Cup of Nations, which sidelined him for 25 days. He subsequently had another injury in his first Liverpool game since, developing a muscular problem following a 45-minute cameo against Brentford, in which he scored one goal and assisted another.

The Egyptian also played an important role in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup victory, scoring against West Ham in the quarterfinals. Since signing for Liverpool in 2017, he has 205 goals and three Premier League Golden Boots.

Saudi Pro League vice chairman Saad Al-Lazeez has claimed that the club has no plans to slow down when it comes to adding players, after spending £700 million in the summer transfer window. He explained: “This is a long-term investment. “We are not in it for the season.”We are happy with what has been accomplished thus far. In fact, I believe we are slightly ahead of schedule.

Jordan Henderson, who signed a disputed contract with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq in the summer, was the first major player to leave the league after joining Ajax in January. Neither he nor Al-Lazeez feel that this will discourage players from entering the league. Henderson was quoted as saying: “I think a lot of people would like me to sit here and criticise the Saudi thing and everything that went with that, but that certainly wasn’t the case and not something that I’m going to do.”I have complete regard for the league, Al-Ettifaq, the club, and the people there. They genuinely made me feel welcome. Unfortunately, these things in life do not always work out, both in football and in general.”

When it came to the former Liverpool star, Al-Lazeez had no regrets, adding, “Sometimes things don’t work out, sometimes the player doesn’t adjust; these things are expected. But I still believe Jordan Henderson was one of our best signings; we benefited greatly from this signing, we’re learning a lot of lessons, and we’ll continue to grow from here.”
