Dier’s was quite the signing. A solid player who also appears to be a good leader/personality.
Bayern Munich were fortunate to keep a clean sheet in their 2-0 victory over FC Köln, which center-back Eric Dier contributed significantly to.
According to FCBayern.com (via @iMiaSanMia), Dier remarked about the achievement after the match, adding, “We’re satisfied. Of course, keeping a clean sheet is usually a wonderful sensation that boosts our self-esteem.”
Dier went on to look forward to the upcoming Champions League match against Arsenal, saying, “On Wednesday, we must defend as a team, with the correct energy and devotion. The atmosphere and support from our fans will undoubtedly be great, which will benefit us. I am really looking forward to that. Both teams will give their everything to advance. Arsenal is a strong team.”
Dier will undoubtedly face fewer boos at home than he did away in London, and he appears to be fully prepared for the challenge ahead.
Will Bayern live up to their potential and reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in three seasons, or will Arsenal send Dier and his teammates packing?
