EVERTON NOW WANT TO SIGN ENGLISH TALENT BEFORE LEEDS UNITED

Leeds United are competing with Everton for the signing of Gent’s Archie Brown ahead of the January transfer window.

Leeds have been in an unusual position this season in terms of left back options.

Junior Firpo has only made three appearances, so right-footed Sam Byram has been pressed into service.

Leeds United may be tempted to sign a natural left back in January, but one of their targets is also wanted in the Premier League

Archie Brown is wanted by both Leeds United and Everton.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds are interested in Gent left back Archie Brown.

Everton and Burnley are also said to be interested, which means Sean Dyche will have to compete with his former club for Brown’s signature.

Everton may see Brown as competition for Vitaliy Mykolenko at left back, given his performance in Belgium.

Brown’s competition does not stop there, as teams from Serie A and the Bundesliga are also interested in him.

Returning to England may appeal to the Birmingham-born defender, but he has already demonstrated his willingness to make some unexpected moves…

Who is Leeds united and Everton target- Brown?
Brown is from Birmingham, but he came up through the Derby County youth system after playing for West Bromwich Albion.

The 21-year-old was more of a winger at Derby but has recently found success as a left back.

Brown made an unexpected move in 2021, leaving Derby to join Lausanne-Sport, a Swiss club owned by Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Brown was a standout in Switzerland, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 43 appearances.

Gent approached Brown over the summer, and he jumped at the chance, taking on a key role under Hein Vanhaezebrouck.
