Richarlison, the star Brazilian, is getting closer to making a comeback, according to Ange Postecoglou’s encouraging injury update.
In the last several weeks, Tottenham has had an incredible run. Despite having a slow start to the current campaign, the North London team is winning five of their last six games in all competitions. They are currently preparing for their Premier League matchup with Brighton. During his pre-game press conference, Ange Postecoglou shared some encouraging news on Richarlison ahead of this game versus the Seagulls. The Brazilian international is getting closer to making a comeback, but he won’t be ready for the match on Sunday.
Through Sportsmole, the Australian manager stated,
“He’s going well.””Hopefully, we can include him
in team training after the international break.”
After having trouble staying healthy the previous season, Richarlison would have preferred to play without an injury in 2024–2025. However, he suffered an injury just two games into the current campaign, missing their last seven games. The good news is that Postecoglou is back on the turf and he expects to resume team training following the impending international break. Dominic Solanke has joined the Tottenham team since the 27-year-old’s last game, and Postecoglou is eager to have both forwards at his disposal after the break.
It’s exactly what we want, so I would love it, the former Celtics manager continued.
“That was the strategy at the beginning of the season, but by the
time the second game rolls around, neither of them is available.”
We aim to be competitive in every game we have, which is a lot of them. I’m eager for Richy to return to availability. He scored goals for us last season when he was healthy enough to play. Having Dom and him as our strikers, with Richy’s ability to play wide,- eager to see him again.
“Over the past two or three years, he hasn’t been able to maintain it and has broken down,” This time, our goal is to make sure that everything is done correctly so that he returns and remains back. With Richy, that’s crucial, and hopefully it turns out that way.
Under Postecoglou, Solanke appears to be the favored option, although Richarlison will fight with the former Bournemouth star for a spot in the starting lineup. When necessary, the two can be on the field together. The Brazilian can even play on the flanks.
