Fans want Gers to test the £7m Premier League waters, attacker coy.

When asked about his Rangers future after an explosive start to life in Glasgow, Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima gave no hints.

The forward scored his eighth and ninth goals in Rangers‘ 4-0 triumph over Hibs at the weekend, kicking off Philippe Clement‘s stint as manager.

As calls mount in Rangers quarters for the Ibrox club to test Brighton’s determination for the attacker, it appears Abdallah Sima is open to conversations, even if he isn’t keen in a switch up.

“I’m not sure [if I’ll stay at Rangers],” Abdallah Sima remarked. “I’m just happy to be here, to score goals, and to enjoy every minute of my time with Rangers.”

“They told me before I came here that it was a big club with amazing fans, but I didn’t expect it to be as big as it is.” Let’s wait and see what happens in a few months.

“Scoring goals is always spectacular. So seven goals in seven games is quite remarkable for me.

“As a striker, it’s critical for me to score goals, and scoring in almost every game boosts my confidence.” I believe it is increasing all the time, and I hope to score goals in every game. “I need to keep going.”

Rangers supporters support an audacious bid for Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima.
Fans may be forgiven for getting carried away after Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima scored his eighth and ninth goals in a promising start to life at Rangers.

Even if you’d think that following the Malik Tillman fiasco, Rangers supporters would have learnt their lesson about talented young loan players entering from the top leagues.

While Rangers are a far larger football club than Brighton & Hove Albion, the Seagulls have all the cards when it comes to the current Ibrox man of the moment.

Hibs were the latest victims of Abdallah Sima‘s vicious wrath, as the Senegal international continued to demonstrate his finishing prowess by scoring for the fifth time in a row.

He’s also gotten rid of the stale narrative about Jack Butland being the summer’s solitary success story.

Rangers fans have called for the team to put Brighton’s loan policy to the test when it comes to Abdallah Sima, who joined the Premier League club in a £7 million deal from Slavia Prague in 2021.

Brighton

Since then, the attacker has failed to break into the club’s first squad, with loan spells at Stoke City and Angers proving unproductive before joining Rangers.

Brighton, now 22 years old and certainly making significant progress in Glasgow, are no slackers when it comes to the transfer market, and we don’t expect them to be here either.

Time will tell whether Rangers can seriously approach the Premier League about a transfer, but based on Brighton’s previous transactions, Abdallah Sima‘s price may be a little too high for us to pay.

The forward has also recently received plaudits from a former Rangers captain.
