Daniel Farke has at least got the Yorkshire club into the play-offs, with a comfortable eight-point lead over Hull City in seventh. However, as the January transfer window approaches, the former Norwich City manager may look to make some crucial changes in order to secure promotion.

One of those changes could be free of charge, with Leeds reportedly looking to bring back a player who has struggled on loan elsewhere.

According to TeamTalk, Aaronson will meet with Farke about returning to Leeds in January. The Elland Road manager is reportedly open to the midfielder’s return and believes he could be a huge boost for his squad as they prepare for a promotion push in the second half of the season.

Aaronson is reportedly considering his options and will return to Leeds on loan if he decides not to stay. Aaronson, who is still only 23 years old and has Premier League experience, could provide a significant boost to the Yorkshire side.

Though Aaronson’s game time at Union Berlin hasn’t been what he expected when he made the move, there’s no denying the American’s potential. The Leeds loanee has played just under 500 minutes and made 17 appearances in the Bundesliga for a Union Berlin side that has struggled in recent years.
