Farke is overjoyed as Leeds reject a record-breaking bid for a crucial player; his eighth signing enters the club.

Leeds have reportedly rejected a bid from Burnley for winger Crysencio Summerville and have made their ninth acquisition of the summer.

Daniel Farke will have a hectic finale to the transfer market, with many Whites players still being pursued by Premier League clubs.

As Leeds aim to achieve promotion from the Championship at the first attempt, the manager will definitely want to retain his top players.

Summerville will also be crucial to their promotion campaign. Last season, the 21-year-old made 33 appearances for Leeds in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing six assists.

Summerville also scored in the Whites‘ Championship opener against Cardiff, but has been out with a slight injury since then.

He is regarded as having enormous potential, and as a result, he is on the radar of several Premier League clubs. Burnley is one among them.

Burnley filed a £20 million proposal for Summerville “in the last 24 hours,” according to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Despite the fact that this was a club-record proposal for Burnley, Leeds rejected it ‘out of hand,’ with Romano adding that there was ‘no prospect’ of a deal being finalised for such a cheap amount. It remains to be seen whether the   would counter-offer with a greater bid.

Glen Kamara has joined Leeds United.
Farke is trying to keep his top players while also attempting to recruit fresh players to his roster. Leeds have already signed seven new players (two of whom are on loan), but their work is far from over.

According to Romano, Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has ‘just signed as a new Leeds player.’

This is fantastic news for Farke, who has been after the Finland international for quite some time. As previously reported, Kamara was scheduled to have a medical with Leeds today, which appears to have gone well.

Kamara is expected to be a replacement for highly-rated 21-year-old Sam Greenwood, who departed Elland Road for Middlesbrough earlier today.

Darko Gyabi has also been linked with a move away from Leeds, so Greenwood may not be the only midfielder to go before the deadline.

Farke‘s midfield options now include Kamara, Illia Gruev, Ethan Ampadu, Archie Grey, Jamie Shackleton, and Lewis Bate.
