Dan Plumley has revealed that Tottenham will take a “slice of the pot” from performances hosted at their stadium.
Pearl Jam, the legendary US rock band, has announced a concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 29.
The football finance specialist acknowledged that discussions will have taken place about ticket prices, catering, and other aspects of the event that will benefit the club financially.
“They will tend to take a slice of the pot,” he said exclusively to Tottenham News.
“It depends on how many concerts are held and whether the artist is represented by the same management business or if the musician is performing many dates at the same location.
“If it’s just a one-off, you’d look to negotiate a portion of that cost, so they expect the total amount to be earned from that event, and Spurs will negotiate a price for it as well, and then there will be discussions about food and other details.
“When you roll all of those things together, it’s a fairly straightforward way to approach it, you would just be looking for a slice of the pot and that is your fee for hosting that event.”
Tottenham and Daniel Levy rake in riches again.
Spurs are already one of the best-performing clubs in international football in terms of revenue, and the new stadium has only boosted that.
With artists like as Beyonce already performing there, these events and the money they generate will only grow in size.
