The Tottenham team has a long list of injuries going into their Premier League match at the City Ground.
Tottenham may be missing nine players when they play Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs, who have only won once in their last 12 league games, will visit the City Ground for the second time this Friday night. This is a big game for Reds boss Steve Cooper.
Forest ended their losing run with their most recent 1-1 draw at Wolves, and their chances of winning again against Tottenham are improved by their opponents’ extensive injury list.
The return of Pape Matar Sarr and Richarlison from injuries against Newcastle served as a boost for Postecoglou, who was still without nine players when Tottenham took on Forest.
“You mentioned James and Micky but you missed out Bentancur, how important Perisic was and when we won those games late, he was the one providing and Manor Solomon,” Postecoglou said. “I could go on and on.” A five-match winless run followed.
“I know it sounds like an excuse, but that’s the way the Premier League works, and it doesn’t take a lot of analysis to see why we haven’t been as definitive in our results over the last few weeks as we were earlier in the year.”
