In Nuno Espirito Santo’s debut game in charge, Nottingham Forest was defeated 3-2 by Bournemouth.
Since Willy Boly’s questionable sending off in the 23rd minute, the Reds have been reduced to 10 men. The defender was given a second yellow card by referee Rob Jones for challenging Adam Smith.
Following the break, the hosts were able to take the lead thanks to Anthony Elanga. However, Dominic Solanke capitalized twice in a span of seven minutes, cutting short Forest’s lead.
Chris Wood leveled the score, but Solanke would eventually score his hat-trick in the closing seconds. Nuno’s team is currently two points above safety in 17th place after Luton Town’s victory over Newcastle.
Here’s what the Reds faithful have saying on social media…
Steve’s clips: “Good effort from the new boss. Robbed.”
Andy McGahey: “Unlucky with ten men battled hard defending letting us down gave Solanke that hatrick onto Newcastle.”
Liam Wagstaff: “Keeps getting worse. All bottom 3 picking up points. Luck is a huge factor.”
Forestismagic: “Of course Luton and Burnley have to win as well.”
Peter: “Game was ruined the second the ref sent Boly off. Great fight from the team.”
