Gary Neville claims Tottenham’s favourite has ‘blown us all away’

Tottenham Hotspur were in pretty severe difficulties at the end of last season, finishing ninth in the Premier League and without a manager or director of football.

Spurs, on the other hand, recovered fast, and Daniel Levy‘s decision to hire Ange Postecoglou as manager proved to be a masterstroke.

Tottenham got off to a fast start this season and appeared to be dark horses for the title.

Then there was that historic game against Chelsea, when Spurs were down to nine men but hung in there and almost drew.

With the season’s final stretch approaching, Tottenham remains in strong contention to finish in the Premier League’s top four and qualify for the Champions League.

Not only that, but Postecoglou has presided over two very successful transfer windows, bringing in a slew of excellent players with promising futures.

What has Gary Neville said about Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou?

Gary Neville, appearing on the newest episode of The Overlap, couldn’t laud the Tottenham boss enough.

Postecoglou, we knew from Celtic but he was third choice for Spurs,” he was quoted as saying. “And all of a sudden he smashes it out the park when it comes to football, he has blown us all away.”

Tottenham have had their share of false dawns in recent years, but they now have a manager who understands the club and delivers on the pitch.
