Florin Manea, Radu Dragusin’s agent, has revealed that he has spoken with many Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, regarding a transfer for his client.
It has been widely reported in recent weeks that Tottenham will prioritise buying a centre defender in January (90 minutes).
Dragusin, who has impressed since joining Genoa 18 months ago, is considered to be on Tottenham’s radar, with Tutto Juve reporter Mirko Di Natale claiming last week that the Lilywhites are considering a move for the 21-year-old.
TuttoMercatoWeb reported a few days ago that the Romanian had signed a contract extension with Genoa but also has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with the club that allows him to depart for a cost of €30 million (£26.2 million) in January.
The Agent for Radu Dragusin spoke with Tottenham.
Manea has now stated that it is only a matter of time until his client makes the move to a bigger club, adding that he has discussed the centre-back with Tottenham, Newcastle, and Arsenal.
“The people from Genoa know (that he will soon leave),” Dragusin‘s agent told Fanatik. I’ve been in London for a while and have almost weekly meetings with key teams. We’re getting there. I talked to Newcastle, Arsenal, and Tottenham.
“I also have messages and conversations with them.” There are teams that inquire. I am confident that Radu will be playing for a very strong team by next summer. One of the world’s top ten. He wants to play in the Premier League, but I know Milan really likes him. I spoke with the individuals there.”
Our Opinion
Dragusin might fit the description for what Tottenham are looking for, but there is no evidence that the Genoa star is at the top of Ange Postecoglou‘s centre-back wishlist at the moment.
