Glenn Hoddle provides his instant reaction to Tottenham v Arsenal draw

Tottenham drew 2-2 with Arsenal this afternoon, proving to everyone that Ange Postecoglou’s side is the genuine deal this season.

All eyes were on Tottenham to see if they could maintain their form from the start of the season. Finally, they may have been unlucky not to take all three points.

Pundits and former players were also present during the game, and former Spurs ace Glenn Hoddle was among those who provided an immediate reaction.

And Hoddle believes that while Spurs proved they are the real deal, Arsenal disappointed in the second half.

“The Spurs dominated the second half.” Arsenal were really disappointed in the second half, although Spurs played very well. “They proved they’re the real deal by going across there and scoring in that manner,” Hoddle remarked.

Tottenham had a late chance to win it through Richarlison, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Spurs showed their class

Tottenham displayed brilliance at times tonight, but they also displayed vulnerabilities that could cost them some games.

Overall, a 2-2 draw was fairly fair, and Tottenham will be pleased to leave The Emirates with something to show for their efforts.

The objective for Spurs now is to keep improving and producing results. Meanwhile, Arsenal has realised that they are already playing catch-up to Manchester City.
