The Dutch media is quite optimistic about Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville’s future.
Outlet FC Update presents statements from Süleyman Öztürk, who spoke with Voetbal International about the forward.
Given his recent form with Leeds, the commentator believes he will be ready for a huge move shortly.
“He is one of the best scorers in the Championship; starting next season, we will see him at a top team. “He will make a transfer, there is no other way,” stated Öztürk.
“I want to see him at a higher level.” He has progressed tremendously over the last six months. He is speedy and good on the outside, but he is also ranked tenth. “I think he should cost around €40 million.”
Feyenoord had been interested in bringing Summerville back to the club last summer, but that became a ‘unrealistic’ option, with Öztürk pointing out he should now be too pricey for them.
“He has become truly priceless for a club like Feyenoord, one of the best players in the Championship.”
Summerville was signed by Leeds for €1.5 million from Feyenoord in the summer of 2020.
The winger initially arrived at their academy, and made his way to the Whites’ first team, now having 16 goals and nine assists in 38 appearances this season.
He’s tied to the Elland Road side with a contract until 2026, and currently valued by Transfermarkt at €18m, so it seems his future will just depend on the big offers that will arrive at the club this summer.
