He looks like a class act. Jeff Stelling is impressed by the Leeds player whom everyone laughed at last season

Jeff Stelling claims that Georginio Rutter has absolutely silenced everyone this season, pointing out that the Leeds United forward now appears to be a class act.

Georginio Rutter has had a rough twelve months. There was plenty of enthusiasm when Leeds shattered their transfer record to bring the Frenchman to Elland Road, as the Whites fought to remain in the Premier League.   However, it immediately became clear that Georginio was not the right fit for Leeds during such a turbulent season. The 21-year-old made only a few Premier League appearances as the Whites were relegated.

Georginio Rutter is proving many wrong with his form for Leeds this season.  Some may have expected Georginio to be one of the first out the door during the summer. However, the former Hoffenheim player chose to stay. Thank god he did.

Georginio has been one of the top players in the Championship this season. He has six goals and 13 assists in the second tier.

Speaking on talkSPORT (broadcast on 26/2; 7:28), Jeff Stelling stated that he has been one of the Championship’s top players this season.

Everyone laughed at Georginio Rutter when he first arrived in this nation, because he couldn’t strike a barn door. “But now he looks like a class act,” he added.

Elland Road is a significant advantage for Leeds. The Frenchman is expected to be a vital contributor in the future.

Certainly, the comeback does not appear to have happened on Friday night without Georginio. He had one of his worst first-half performances in a long time against Leicester.

However, he was involved in all three goals. He is unquestionably one of Leeds’ players who is simply too excellent for the second division. So it’ll be interesting to watch how he does if we are promoted.

We can probably anticipate him to steal the show less frequently. However, given how wonderfully the ball normally keeps to his feet and how difficult he is for Championship defenders to contain, there appears to be no reason why he cannot be a game changer in the top tier.

And if we do not get promoted this year, it will be a massive job to keep him at
