Despite ongoing speculation linking Conor Gallagher with a move to Tottenham, Alan Brazil has revealed that he is unable to explain why Chelsea are interested in selling the midfielder.
The Spurs Web has provided different updates on Gallagher’s future in recent days, with several sites continuing to believe Tottenham will make a move for the 23-year-old next summer if he does not sign a new contract before then.
Earlier this week, The Daily Mail reported that Spurs would have an advantage over other bidders if the England international wanted to leave his boyhood club in the summer, as the player prefers to stay in London.
The article also said that the Blues were hesitant to offer the midfielder a new contract worth more than £150,000 per week because several at the club questioned his technical skills in possession.
