If Patrick Bamford is knocking on Farke’s door at Leeds, he must leave.

According to Paul Robinson, if Patrick Bamford’s injury setbacks are going to be an issue for Leeds United for the rest of the season, the striker needs to be replaced.

After missing back-to-back games against Hull City and Harrogate Town until February due to a hamstring injury, the 31-year-old is yet to start a Championship match this season.
Blackburn Rovers are the most recent team to join the fight for Bamford, despite the forward’s injury history this season [The Sun on Sunday]. League One team Wrexham is also keeping an eye on him [Ben Jacob].

“There’s no point selling him unless they can bring someone else in,” Robinson stated in an exclusive interview with MOT Leeds News.

There is an issue and a choice must be made if he wants to go and is pounding on the manager’s door.

But they need someone else if his injuries are going to be an issue from now until the conclusion of the season. Take a look at Joe Gelhardt, who has participated in seven Championship football games so far this season. After Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe, Bamford is the next best choice. Their current team is adequate, but if Bamford decides to depart, they must find a replacement who is at least as competent.

“Forcing him out the door is not necessary at this time.”

Will Patrick Bamford depart Leeds United during the January transfer window?
It might be challenging for the Whites to complete an exit before the January transfer window closes because the striker suffered a further injury at Thorp Arch.

Bamford’s lack of availability this season is sure to irritate Daniel Farke, but given his background and expertise, he will probably still play a significant role in the dressing room.

With Joe Gelhardt scheduled for a medical in London [James Hogarth], it appears that the player will be leaving Elland Road on loan this month. Farke may already be short one attacker with just 12 days left in the transfer window.
