In tonight’s first half, Crysencio Summerville was left utterly incensed at one Leeds player

Last night, Crysencio Summerville did not have the best evening of the season for Leeds United. The Whites’ hopes of automatic promotion were severely damaged as they lost 4-0 to Queens Park Rangers in the capital.

Leeds had two games remaining against Hull and Coventry City, and there was a huge chance to put some serious pressure on Ipswich Town. A victory would have put them four points ahead.

But nearly every member of the starting eleven that Daniel Farke chose was far from their best; Jon Newsome claimed that Summerville in particular had played the worst he had seen in a long time.

He was by no means alone, though. The midfield was nowhere to be seen, the defence was terrible, Illan Meslier was unsteady, and the attack was unable to muster any sort of momentum.Joel Piroe left Summerville utterly incensed last night.

When things aren’t going his or the team’s way, Summerville doesn’t usually disguise his feelings, and last night was no exception.

Summerville’s demeanour as he walked to the sideline after Farke pulled him off the pitch in the 75th minute with a 3-0 deficit was evident.Nonetheless, the Yorkshire Evening Post claims that the 22-year-old truly vented his annoyance at one of his offensive teammates during the first half.

Summerville is reported to have been spotted aggressively “remonstrating” with Joel Piroe for not making the run that he should have when the score was 2-0.

If it wasn’t previously evident, Piroe is not the right fit for the lone striker position. He was brought in to replace Patrick Bamford in that capacity.

Not only could he not keep the ball aloft, but he also didn’t appear to make the appropriate runs to bring out the best in the three players behind him, winning just two of his 11 duels.Patrick Bamford enhances the qualities of Summerville, Georginio Rutter, and Willy Gnonto.

Although Bamford has divided opinions among Leeds supporters and always will, there is no denying that he inspires the best in everyone around him.

Willy Gnonto previously discussed how underappreciated Bamford is, and Piroe’s incapacity to take his place Friday night demonstrated this once again.

Although QPR did not set up in that manner, Leeds have struggled all season against deep opponents, and Farke’s dangermen were unable to penetrate the game.

With his hold-up play and movement off the ball—last night being a good example—Bamford is far stronger than Piroe.
