According to Sport Mediaset, Inter Milan is willing to pay between £15.5 million and £17.3 million to recruit West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca.
The Italian broadcaster reported online (24 July) that last season’s Champions League runners-up are in the market for a striker and have the funds necessary to offer West Ham a permanent deal for Scamacca.
Roma is also interested in the striker, but can only offer him a loan agreement because they cannot finance an immediate transfer without first selling others.
West Ham and Roma, on the other hand, have recently discussed a loan with an option to buy, subject to the Italian club qualifying for the Champions League.
After such a poor season for Scamacca, West Ham would be better off cutting their losses and permanently trading the out-of-favor striker.
