Fulham’s Tom Cairney complimented Nottingham Forest after scoring in the Reds’ 5-0 triumph last night.
The Cottagers romped to victory at Craven Cottage to leapfrog Forest in the Premier League table.
Steve Cooper is under intense scrutiny, with claims claiming that replacements are being lined up.
However, a report earlier today stated that Cooper will be in command when Forest go to Wolves on Saturday.
After thumping them, Cairney praises Forest.
The Nottingham-born midfielder shone in last night’s game against Nottingham Forest.
He claimed that scoring Fulham‘s fifth and final goal put him in danger of upsetting his father. Cairney also took the time to thank the Forest fans for their efforts in rousing their squad last night. “It’s a huge club,” he told Amazon Prime. My father is a Forest fan, therefore he’ll probably scold me after this game. He, too, is a diehard Forest supporter, and he adores Stuart Pearce. Massive fan following, and it’s always good to see them back in the Premier League.” Forest players owe Cooper a good showing.
Cairney is correct in many of his observations on Forest. It’s fantastic that the team has returned to the Premier League, but the fans – and Cooper – deserve better.
Last night’s players simply did not do enough. They were passive and eventually gave up when things became rough.
Cairney will not have an easier game than he did last night in the middle of the park. He deserved his late goal and accepted it gracefully.
Cooper requires a performance from his players on Saturday, and he claimed yesterday night that he told them their present levels of performance will not suffice.
Hopefully, a massive three points can be claimed this weekend. Cooper, in fact, is desperate for them.
