A 3-1 victory over Newcastle United on Boxing Day is a tremendous boost for everyone associated with Forest and the perfect response following a challenging loss to Bournemouth.

Prior to the January transfer window, Nuno will have gathered a great deal of knowledge about his team and will be looking to gain some momentum now.

Now, there’s a new rumor to investigate: according to Marca, Forest is considering signing Ivan Alejo, a winger for Cadiz.

Nuno may like to bring Alejo to the City Ground in January, so let’s take a look at the Spaniard’s resume thus far.

Ivan Alejo, the current narrative.

Alejo is a native of Valladolid, where he began his professional career with Real Valladolid before moving to Atletico Madrid when he was a youngster.

Before joining Villarreal’s B team in 2015, Alejo played for Atletico Madrid for four years without ever making an appearance in the top team. After that, Alejo lived a very nomadic life, spending just a year each with Villarreal, Alcorcon, and Eibar.

The next team to play was Getafe, although Alejo only played a few games and was loaned to Malaga and Cadiz.

Alejo, who made his loan move permanent in 2020, has at last found a place at Cadiz and is developing into a significant player.

Alejo, who is 28 years old, has contributed two assists so far this season but has already received ten yellow cards, making him somewhat of a bad boy in La Liga.

Analysis of Ivan Alejo to Nottingham Forest.

It makes perfect sense that Forest would be considering signing wingers during the January transfer window.

While Anthony Elanga is playing brilliantly, Forest needs to consider other possibilities because to Callum Hudson-Odoi’s injury issues.

In that sense, Alejo is a good fit, although it would surprise us if the Spaniard became a top target in January.

A winger who turns 29 in February and has been cut by several Spanish teams doesn’t seem like the kind of player Forest would want to sign.
