“I’ve earned it,” says Derby County transfer target, discussing his aspirations and the reasons why teams would want to sign him.

DerbyshireLive provides the most recent Derby County transfer news as Louie Barry talks about his recall from Aston Villa and his future plans.

Next month, Derby County will need a forward who can score goals, and youthful Louie Barry of Aston Villa has been hailed as the ideal candidate.

The Rams will be prepared to strike when the transfer window opens because Villa has confirmed that they will recall Louie Barry from his loan stint at Stockport County in January.

With 14 goals in 21 games, the 21-year-old has been in incredible form this season, propelling the Hatters into the League One play-off spots. After assisting Stockport in their promotion from League Two the previous season, Barry has scored 23 goals in 41 league games there overall.

Along with Sunderland and Leeds United, Derby is one of several Championship teams that have been keeping an eye on the issue. Barry has now spoken out about his ambitions, the Villa recall, and his future professional goals.

Fans of the Rams who want to see their team add more firepower to Paul Warne’s squad next month will be delighted to hear his remarks.

“Going back to your parent club and hopefully playing or being around is the goal as a loan player,” Barry stated on Stockport’s YouTube account. “My dad has a Villa tattoo on his arm and leg, so it’s clear that I’m a Villa supporter. His affection for County is so great that he’ll most likely acquire a Stockport one now!

“Returning to Villa is now the primary objective, and I believe I have earned it. When I return, I want to show them what I can do and perhaps make a breakthrough. That is the main objective.

“I felt like I was doing well on my previous loans when I was very young, but my metrics weren’t there. I did well in the season’s first three games, but the situation remained the same. Even though I was succeeding, I still required the attacker’s output.

Dave Challinor, the Stockport manager, believed in me and told me during training that I was doing well but that I needed more goals, assists, and high speed.”

“Even though I’ve had confidence in myself since I was six years old, I needed a little encouragement, and this has been just what I needed. I can now look back and see that County is the club that has helped me advance in my career.

“I played in the middle or stayed wide the previous season. I spent my entire career accustomed to that. Coming in off the left this season was different. In that kind of position, I hadn’t really done that before. I scored goals in the season’s first games, but I didn’t play at my best.

I was still learning, and I was playing in a somewhat different position. It was incredibly helpful to me when I was doing things in the pocket. In the past three or four months, I believe I have improved significantly as a player, and I can now play in that position. That adaptability will be useful to me.
