James Maddison believes a Spurs youngster has more to offer

James Maddison was among several Tottenham players to congratulate Alejo Veliz on his first goal for the club, and he expects the youngster to score many more in the future.

While Tottenham had a disastrous evening at the Amex Stadium on Thursday, one of the few bright spots was Veliz‘s early goal.

After being picked out by Son Heung-min, the striker, who replaced Brennan Johnson in the 70th minute, took a touch and placed the ball into the bottom corner on 81 minutes.

Various reports in recent months claim that the 20-year-old has pleased Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff in training, with many at Hotspur Way enthusiastic about his potential (Sean Walsh – Talking Transfers Podcast).

When the Argentine teen voiced his excitement at having his account opened, Maddison replied, “Congrats pal!! Now, even more.” Meanwhile, Lo Celso posted on Facebook, “Congratulations Tanquee, “May it be the first of many,” Emerson said, adding, “Congratulations, brother.” “More to come.”

Unfortunately, Veliz suffered a serious injury against Bournemouth, and the Argentine will now fight tirelessly to recover and demonstrate his talent as quickly as possible.

Veliz is clearly well-liked in the Tottenham locker room. Fingers crossed that his injury isn’t too serious and that he’ll receive some more chances in the following months.
