Kieran Maguire: Liverpool might now accept an offer for their own ‘Cole Palmer’.

FSG will regard Liverpool academy players as ‘commodities’ and may look to cash in on their own ‘Cole Palmer’ after their values have skyrocketed in recent weeks.

That is the opinion of financial expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that monetising academy stars is a successful strategy for Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.
Due to Liverpool‘s chronic injury crisis, manager Jurgen Klopp has had to rely on a number of young academy graduates in recent weeks.

The Reds selected an exceptionally young lineup against Chelsea in the League Cup final and Southampton in the FA Cup, with teenage duo Lewis Koumas and Jayden Danns scoring all three goals.

Liverpool‘s youthful players made headlines for their achievements, and their market worth has skyrocketed as a result.
Liverpool’s owners, FSG, might now cash in on academy talents.
Homegrown talent generates pure wealth for clubs, therefore Maguire emphasized that Liverpool can ‘capitalise’ on their academy success if they decide to sell.
“The Liverpool youngsters are achieving their dreams and aspirations of playing for the football club,” Maguire told Sean Fisher from Football Insider.
“However, from an FSG perspective, they are commodities and are treated accordingly.

“As a result of the recent victory in the cup tournaments, the value of Liverpool‘s youngsters has surged.

“If we look at Manchester City and Chelsea, they have monetised their academy route more than any other clubs in the Premier League.”Cole Palmer was sold for £40 million, and Levi Colwill secured a lucrative contract following a loan move.
“Liverpool will be sure that if there is interest in some of these younger players, they can capitalise on it.
