Bryan King feels Tottenham will make a better bid for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.
The former Spurs scout hailed the 23-year-old, calling him a “talented” player with a lot of potential.
According to The Times (26 June), Tottenham‘s Premier League opponents Villa rejected an initial offer of £20 million plus Lo Celso for Ramsey, prompting Tottenham to consider a higher bid.
However, King, speaking exclusively to the Tottenham News, believes a deal may still be reached.
“If they’re seriously interested then make a serious offer,” according to King.
“Aston Villa will expect a better offer. Lo Celso should be valued at £25 million based on his experience and international pedigree.
“It sounds like a sensible arrangement that could be done. Ramsey has a lot of promise; he is a good young player, and I believe Spurs’ next bid for him will be improved.”
Will Spurs sign Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa?
This would be another intriguing young player for Tottenham to add to their roster.
Ange Postecoglou already has several great young players on his roster, and Ramsey would be yet another guy with a lot of potential to fill.
It remains to be seen whether a deal is reached, but if it is, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium fans will have enough to be thrilled about.
Lo Celso obviously has no future in North London. As a result, moving him and receiving a small sum of money in exchange for a player who has the potential to become a star at the club seems obvious.
As a result, Daniel Levy should dig out his chequebook and call Villa.
