Lee Hendrie’s mind changes live on Sky when Farke becomes enraged after the Leeds incident against West Brom

Lee Hendrie altered his mind on the penalty judgement that went against Leeds United in their 1-0 Championship defeat at West Bromwich Albion.

Farke-Corberan

Wilfried Gnonto received a pass over the top from Ethan Ampadu and entered the West Brom box, where he appeared to be challenged before taking a shot.

However, referee Graham Scott waved play on, much to the chagrin of Leeds manager Daniel Farke on the Hawthorns touchline.

“Initially, I didn’t think it was [a penalty],” Hendrie remarked as a pundit for Sky Sports News [29 December, 8:54pm].

“However, you can clearly see him pulling him back on the ball’s approach.” Daniel Farke was completely enraged.”

Gnonto and Leeds have every right to be upset by this judgement in the first half of Friday’s (December 29) match.

Cedric Kipre, a West Brom defender, intercepted the Leeds attacker and stopped him from shooting.

If VAR had been used, the man in the centre would almost surely have been requested to see the pitchside monitor and, like Hendrie, would have changed his mind.

It would be unfair to blame the referee, but you can understand why Farke was so irritated with the officials in general.

This spot-kick would have made all the difference in a game decided by a solitary Grady Diangana score.

Aside from that occasion, Leeds provided virtually nothing in attack, and Farke must share some of the responsibility for his tactics with his players, if not himself.

In any case, this was just another frustrating moment in another forgettable game for the Whites.
