Leeds have already put ‘a lot’ of groundwork for the permanent sale of the 26-year-old.

Leeds United and Real Betis have already done ‘a lot’ of preparations for a permanent move for Marc Roca.

According to Estadio Deportivo, while no buy options were included in the initial loan agreement, it is widely assumed that his move will be converted into a permanent one.

Roca was one of eight first-team players from last season to leave Leeds on loan in the summer following the club’s relegation to the Championship.

Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Max Wober, Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson, Jack Harrison, and Luis Sinisterra all left on loan.

However, each of those players has had varied degrees of success thus far, with Roca being arguably the most successful of the eight in the first month of the season.

Leeds and Betis lay the groundwork for Roca.

Roca has previously expressed his happiness at Betis since his move to Elland Road, telling ElDesmarque that a permanent move to the Spanish club would be appealing.

“This season, with the loan, I am very comfortable and happy, we’ll see,” he remarked. Let’s see how things progress in the coming months. These are issues that must be discussed, two clubs must reach an agreement, and then there is me. I prefer to live in the current moment, and I am enthusiastic to assist the team.”

It is difficult to envisage any of the players who left on loan in the summer returning, but it is encouraging to hear that Roca has made a strong start to life back in Spain.

From Leeds‘ perspective, the whole objective of loaning these players out was to free up payroll space, but also to raise their value.

If Roca continues to produce at the level he has apparently begun at, Leeds will be able to sell him for the same, if not more, than what he cost to join from Bayern Munich, making it a win-win situation for all parties.
