Leeds insider is perplexed by Sky Sports’ transfer news when a long-term offer surfaces.

Paul Robinson finds it hard to comprehend Leeds United’s interest in Mergim Berisha, a striker for Hoffenheim.

Leeds-United-Daniel-Farke-According to journalist Ben Hecker of Sky Sports Germany, Daniel Farke‘s team has been connected to making a long-term offer for the 26-year-old forward, with the possibility of a permanent contract.
However, LeedsLive denied the rumors this month, indicating that even after Joe Gelhardt’s brief departure to Hull City, the Whites are unlikely to pursue the player’s signature.

Robinson stated in an exclusive interview with MOT Leeds News: “To be honest, I don’t understand the connection. 26-year-old Hoffenheim player with one goal and one assist in 11 games this season, 10 games and no goals the previous season, and 14 in 25 games prior.

He isn’t particularly prolific. Joel Piroe performs better as a No. 9 in that position. Despite being Leeds‘ top striker, Mateo Joseph is unable to score goals. Berisha is not the best option if they want to get a striker.I don’t understand it given his past and goal-scoring record. I don’t see why Leeds brought him in because, in my opinion, he would play before Piroe or Joseph if he were in the squad.Perhaps he simply has an excellent agent who enjoys connecting clubs with his players.

Joel Piroe to be replaced at Leeds United by Mergim Berisha?

Despite dividing opinions at Elland Road as Leeds‘ preferred number nine, Piroe is the team’s strongest goal threat with 10 goals and five assists in the Championship season.

In contrast, Berisha has only made three Bundesliga starts, contributed two goals, and appeared to be in terrible form throughout the previous two seasons.
The Whites obviously want to make sure they get promoted back to the Premier League, but it makes little sense to spend a lot of money on a striker who isn’t playing well, like Berisha.

That money might be used for much more reasonable acquisitions rather than the German international who has only scored one goal this season, as Farke is currently concerned about a few injury issues.

In other Leeds United news, Fabrizio Romano‘s remarks have resulted in a significant transfer boost for Kelechi Iheanacho.
