Leeds is considering a bid to sign the “clinical” forward who led Marsch with 23 goals.

According to a recent source, Leeds United and the 49ers are now considering recruiting a “clinical” striker for Daniel Farke this month.

Farke stated that he doesn’t “expect much” in terms of incomings this month because he isn’t a “big fan” of this transfer window following the team’s 3-3 Championship tie against Hull City over the weekend. But, considering how eager the Whites are to return to the Premier League, they might be open to adding one or two more players if the chance arises.

According to The Sun, Leeds has begun negotiations to sign Andrew Omobamidele, a defender, this month. A move could occur this month for the Ireland international, who plays for Nottingham Forest but has fallen out of favor under Nuno Espirito Santo. With a loan and a commitment to purchase a genuine possibility, Forest is willing to let the defender go. However, Leeds is up against a lot of competition because Sheffield United is another team interested in signing Omobamidele.

Junior Firpo, a current Leeds defender, may be on the verge of leaving Elland Road while Omobamidele arrives. According to reports, the defender’s club is preparing for a return to Real Betis, his old team.

There have reportedly already been discussions between Betis and Firpo‘s camp through middlemen.

After failing to maintain the same level of performance in Turkey, he relocated to Germany and played for FC Augsburg before joining Hoffenheim.

According to this source, Leeds has “shown an interest” in Mergim, who scored 23 goals under former Whites manager Jesse Marsch despite his lack of goals while playing for Hoffenheim. Patrick Bamford may soon be leaving Leeds, thus the Whites are keeping an eye out for possible replacements.

Farke is still considering the striker despite his recent performance; he may be familiar with him from his time managing in the Bundesliga. The Leeds manager may potentially be interested in Mergim because of his versatility as a winger and center forward. The Whites had previously been connected to a move for the player; in 2022, when Mergim was playing for Fenerbahce, they were in negotiations to sign him, but the Turkish team demanded €5 million at the time.
