Leeds United seems to have received a prompt response to their loan request for a “brilliant” Premier League jewel.
Before the deadline, Leeds hopes to sign at least three players.
The Whites are still busy in the transfer market ahead of this weekend’s Championship opener against Portsmouth in an effort to strengthen Daniel Farke’s team following some significant departures. A verbal £7 million offer for Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe appears to be the top target out wide, while The Athletic reports that another midfielder and full-back are required at Elland Road before August 30.
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi of Crystal Palace was an attacking target prior to Rowe, and Leeds was competing with Burnley and Sheffield United for his services in the second division. According to a recent update, a loan relocation from Selhurst Park is likely.

The latest on Rak-Sakyi was released by Football Insider on Wednesday. They stated that the Palace player has now finalized a deal to play for Sheffield United, their rival, in the upcoming season. Leeds will be devastated by this, since the source also states that Rak-Sakyi has apparently rejected a deal from the Whites, who conducted conversations about a move and even seemed to give him one. Instead, he chose the Blades.
The 21-year-old, who made an impression in League One with Charlton Athletic in 2022–2023 by tallying 15 goals and eight assists in 43 games, looks to be heading to the Championship on loan.
During Rak-Sakyi’s loan at The Valley, former Charlton manager Dean Holden was obviously impressed, stating:
“That relationship is fantastic. Jes did an excellent job. In the U21 football season last year, he had an extremely successful campaign with a lot of goals and assists. He possesses the self-assurance to venture beyond his comfort zone and participate in men’s football for the first time. Being involved in so many projects is a fantastic accomplishment. He is deserving of consideration for Young Player of the Year. I have talked to him about the fact that he still has some work to do this season. More goals and assists are present in him, alongside general play.”
