Leeds United apparently made a recent approach to sign a fresh player who Daniel Farke knows well. Leeds’ form in 2024.
The Whites have been unbeaten thus far this season, winning all eight Championship games in 2024. The most recent victory came at Plymouth Argyle, putting the team back in second place after playing one more game than Southampton and Ipswich Town.Farke hailed his team following the victory at Home Park, saying:
“It was perhaps not our finest effort of the season. The schedule is relentless. It was critical to add another clean sheet, a truly excellent [defensive] effort. “We had a great start in the game.”However, there were one or two periods of the game during which we had to remain firm and deny them any opportunities.
“Definitely a well-deserved victory, but it was a hard fight. I’m really pleased, especially with the clean sheet today. “The first team to win here since October.”
Leeds, Farke, and the 49ers Enterprises will ideally be preparing for a season back in the Premier League this summer, and it appears that the German has his sights set on a player he signed for Norwich City.
Leeds make £6 million offer for new winger.
According to Turkish source Takvim, Leeds United has’recently made an official bid’ to buy Besiktas winger Milot Rashica for around €7 million (£6 million). It is unclear whether the bid was made in January or after the deadline for a summer sale closed.

Besiktas, on the other hand, has declined the offer, with management stating,
“We are aiming for the championship in the upcoming season. Rashica is an excellent player who can help us achieve this aim.”
Rashica has previously worked under Farke, making 12 appearances at Carrow Road in 2021/22 before being fired. Farke has previously praised the winger, saying:
“Milot Rashica was fantastic in our early games, but he had a terrible preseason and an incredible workload during the international break.
“On Wednesday night, he played for Kosovo in Spain, where he had to work hard against the ball for 90 minutes before returning to England and traveling three and a half hours to London. He was exhausted and needed to take a rest. As we know, Leeds already has a lot of outstanding wingers in Yorkshire, such Crysencio Summerville, Wilfried Gnonto, and Dan James, so if one of the three leaves, Rashica might be considered as a replacement.
After leaving England, Rashica played for Galatasaray and Besiktas, scoring more than 20 goals in 56 appearances. The 27-year old is under contract until 2027, so Leeds may have to up their bid significantly in the coming months if they want him at Elland Road this summer.
